(A place to be at) Home
Over the years, living in Queensland’s Wet Tropics has grown on me, until now it is hard to separate self from place.
Here, at home, my creative practice is my research.
My research is my interactions with others in the habitat patches of this bioregion.
These more-than-human interactions are my creative practice.
Building on my observations, I record and share this recursive webbing of elements through poetry in performance and on the page, through photojournalist images and creative natural histories.
In the process, I have become an arachnophobe who cherishes spiders as her Familiars and an accidental whatever gardener, although the rest of the multispecies collective do most of the work.
